Papaya (Paw Paw, Papaw, Tree Melon) is native to Central America, southern Mexico and every tropical and sub-tropical country. Papaya fruit needs constant warmth throughout its growth. Cool temperatures alter the flavour of the fruit and cold, wet soil is detrimental to the plants survival.

Papaya fruit provides Papain enzymes in the powdered form used in Bio Health Papaya Enzymes. Preparations of Papain alone or combined with antibacterial agents and/or other substances have been taken for supporting healthy digestion. It has a long tradition of effectively supporting a healthy digestive system and is widely used in tropical countries.

N.B.Can be taken during meals to aid digestion.

The herbal ingredients are wherever possible sourced from organic, wild crafted (non-threatened species) or cultivated plants. All the herbal raw materials conform to accepted scientific standards, British Pharmacopoeia, European Pharmacopoeia and British Herbal Pharmacopoeia.

Constituents

A mixture of enzymes prepared from the unripe fruit are proteolytic which hydrolyse polypeptides, amides and esters.

Papain Powder BPC 1954* - 120mg

Vegetable hypromellose (HPMC) (approximately) - 60mg

* The Papain powder used in this product complies with the standard set by the British Pharmaceutical Codex 1954.

The Calcium phosphate is an essential ingredient and provides the necessary alkaline medium (ph. 7.4) to ensure proper enzyme and Papain assimilation in the stomach.

Dosage

1-2 capsules swallowed with water twice a day.
