BetterYou Iron 10 Oral Spray is a high-dosage iron supplement, specially formulated to be gentle on the digestive system with a great-tasting, natural flavour. Delivering 10mg of iron per 4 sprays, Iron 10 Oral Spray has been scientifically formulated to deliver iron directly into the bloodstream, bypassing primary processing by the gut. The tiny droplets absorb quickly into the buccal membrane of the inner cheek, providing fast, effective nutrient uptake. Traditional routes of iron supplementation through tablets, capsules and liquids are notoriously known to cause digestive discomfort as iron is an irritant to the digestive tract. As a result, these traditional iron supplements can cause several negative side effects on the body including constipation, sickness, stomach pains, bloating and heartburn. An iron oral spray avoids these issues.

What time of day should I use the spray?
The oral spray can be taken at any time of day, the key is to make it part of your daily routine. Many people find it is easiest to take it first thing in the morning as part of their morning routine, but as the sprays are easy to use, portable and don't need to be taken with food or drink, they can be used any time of day.
What form of iron is in the Iron Oral Spray?
The form of iron is Ferric EDTA (Fe+++).
Ingredients
Water, diluent (xylitol), ferric sodium edetate, ferric ammonium citrate, preservative (potassium sorbate), flavouring (natural pomegranate).
Directions
Shake well before every use. Carefully spray into your mouth, ideally onto the inside of your cheek, and hold for a few seconds. Replace the cap after use.
Initial use: press the pump 3 times to get the liquid flowing.
Adults: 4 sprays (or as directed by your healthcare practitioner).
Dosage: 4 sprays contain 10mg of iron.Not suitable for haemochromatosis sufferers. For children under 12, consider using Iron 5 Oral Spray as the dosage is lower and their daily supplementation need is lower than that of an adult.
Do not exceed recommended dosage. Contains xylitol - excessive consumption may produce laxative effects. This product contains iron, which if taken in excess, may be harmful to very young children. No known contraindications with prescribed medications. Does not need to be taken with food or water, can be taken at any time of the day and combined with our other oral sprays.
Once opened, use within 6 months. Store at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. Keep out of reach and sight of children.
