Handcrafted in Yorkshire, this eco friendly candle is made from sustainable soya wax and features the sweet, tangy scent of Yorkshire Rhubarb. The wick is the heart of the candle. It determines flame stability, soot production, and overall burning efficiency. Our wicks are made from pure cotton coated in vegetable wax, ensuring a clean and natural burn, making it a more eco-friendly choice. High-quality wicks, like the ones selected for Bio-D candles, minimise unburnt carbon particles, ensuring a cleaner burn.

When a candle is lit, the heat melts the wax. The wick absorbs the liquid wax through capillary motion, transporting it to the flame, where it vaporises and combusts to create light and heat. Our wicks are designed to be self-trimming, meaning they naturally maintain the optimal length as they burn. Directions

Trim wick to about 6mm before lighting. Always leave at least 10cm between burning candles, and always burn on a heat resistant surface. Never leave a candle unattended. Keep away from things that can catch fire. Keep lid on when not in use to help preserve the fragrance and keeps dust and debris from settling on the wax, ensureing a clean, even burn every time you light it.

Do not place candles in a draught or near a source of heat. Do not burn candle below 5mm from the base. Always snuff out the flame - DO NOT blow it out. Do not move a burning candle, allow to cool before handling.
