D3 and K2 are both essential for calcium absorption in the bone. Vitamin D3 increases absorption whilst K2 activates a protein called osteocalcin, which integrates the calcium into the bone. Without these two nutrients, calcium cannot do its job effectively. Vitamin K2 also binds to excess calcium in the bloodstream to improve arterial flow and flexibility.

Vitamin D3 is the most bioavailable form of vitamin D and unlike D2 it can be properly utilised by our bodies. However most vitamin D3 on the market is sourced from sheep's wool, and is therefore not suitable for vegans. Our vegan vitamin D3 is derived from algae, providing a bioavailable source of vitamin D3 without any animal ingredients required. Our body produces vitamin D3 when we are exposed to sunlight. However our modern lifestyles mean that many of us struggle to get enough, particularly during the winter months. The NHS considerer vitamin D3 as an 'essential' supplement for everyone between the months of September - April.

Why include K2?

Vitamin D3 is well known for it's health benefits, but many people often forget that these health benefits are enhanced when D3 is combined with K2. Do I need to take D3 if I already use Supergreens?

If you are currently taking Supergreens then in most cases you would not need to take an additional D3 supplement. As you know Supergreens contains a range of different vitamins and minerals, including D3 so with daily use you would have this key nutrient covered. If you require a higher or more therapeutic serving of D3 then you can consider taking a D3 supplement in addition to Supergreens. If you are in doubt about how much you should consume we recommend contacting your healthcare practitioner.

Is our D3 suitable for children?

D3 is actively recommended for children however the dosage of our product is designed with adults in mind. We recommend speaking with a doctor or a paediatric nutritionist for advise on dosage and suitability of our product for your child's needs.

Does your Vitamin K2 contain Soy?

Our Vitamin K2 is fermented from Natto soya bean but absolutely no trace of soy is present in the final product therefore it is suitable for those with soy allergies.

Directions

Drop 0.5ml (1/2 pipette) straight onto the tongue. Add D3&K2 to the top of smoothies or bowls (after blending) and stir in with a spoon

Store in a cool, dry place, once opened refrigerate and use within 3 months. Keep out of reach of children
