Delamere Dairy Goats Milk Powder is a naturally nutritious alternative to cows’ milk, with similar levels of calcium, vitamins and minerals. Use it just as you would use cows’ milk, as a drink, in tea and coffee, on cereal and in all your favourite recipes and sauces. Goats’ milk is the most widely drunk milk in the world. More and more people are becoming aware of the benefits that goats’ milk can bring, with around 76% of Delamere Dairy’s customers buying it for health reasons.

Delamere Dairy Goats’ Milk Powder is a convenient whole goats’ milk substitute. Simply stir the powder into warm water and use as you would use fresh or long-life goats’ milk or any other milk, in hot drinks, on cereal, in recipes, baking and sauces, and simply as a drink.

Delamere Dairy’s Goats’ Milk Powder is available in 400g sachets and each sachet makes up to 3.8L of reconstituted goats’ milk.

• Source of protein
• Source of calcium and vitamin D for healthy teeth & bones

Whilst cows’ milk is the most popular choice in the UK, on a worldwide basis more people drink the milk of goats than any other single animal. Everyday, more and more people are becoming aware of the benefits that goats’ milk can bring.

Cows’ Milk & Lactose Intolerance

Evidence shows that as many as 5% of children under 3 years old develop a hypersensitivity to cows’ milk. ( Many people never grow out of their intolerance and large numbers of children and adults are discovering that this is often the cause of their skin disorders and respiratory and digestive problems.

It has become evident that a large proportion of those with an intolerance to cows’ milk are able to flourish on goats’ milk, so interest and demand are growing fast.

Goats’ milk does still contain lactose which occurs naturally in milk. However, due to the ease with which goats’ milk is digested, those who suffer lactose intolerance with cows’ milk rarely do so with goats’ milk.

Digestive Qualities

The fat globules in goats’ milk are smaller than in cows’ milk so the human digestive enzymes can complete their breakdown much more rapidly.

The proteins also form a softer curd in the stomach which helps digestion. This makes goats’ milk an ideal food for children, the elderly, those with digestive difficulties and people recuperating from illness.

Mucous, Respiratory & Skin Conditions

Top Chef Antony Worrall Thompson discovered that switching his young daughter from cows’ milk to goats’ milk was an almost instant cure for her persistent runny nose.

Unlike cows’ milk, goats milk is non-mucous forming and actually helps to neutralise mucous which can provide dramatic relief to catarrh sufferers.

For example, for many children with perpetual ‘runny noses’, a switch from cows’ milk dairy products to goats’ milk can bring almost instant relief.

Many people who choose to replace cows’ milk with goats’ milk experience considerable improvements in conditions like asthma and eczema…most likely because of a reduced allergenic reaction to the undigested proteins associated with cows’ milk.

Welfare is a Top Priority

Delamere Dairy operates a strict, independently monitored, Farm Assurance and Welfare Code which means our goats’ milk comes from the healthy, happy goats. Most of the goats producing our milk are white British Saanens, a really good milking breed. They’re also very good natured, inquisitive and playful which makes them fun to work with (it’s tempting to say they like to kid around!!).

The milk is not classified as ‘organic’ but we adopt as many standards as possible. All our farms operate low input systems in terms of fertilisers and all the goats’ manure is spread back on the land. We treat sick animals with antibiotics, but only if absolutely necessary.

Our goats enjoy all of life’s home comforts in airy, draft-free, barns with a deep bedding of straw and plenty of space for ‘getting away’ from the group – standards closely monitored by the Welfare Code. These groups are decided according to when the goats are going to kid. We don’t mix the groups, simply because goats develop a strong social hierarchy.

Storage: Store unopened packet in a cool, dry place (do not refrigerate). After opening, keep in a cool, dry place. Use contents within 4 weeks.
For infants under 1 year old, always seek the advice of a health professional.

Please note that goats’ milk is not a suitable substitute for people with a diagnosed allergy to cows’ milk.

Excellent stand by

In the present situation I only get my shopping order delivered once a month if I’m lucky so although I order 5 cartons of goats milk, it doesn’t last so this milk is an excellent backup. Great taste not that different from my fresh milk. Highly recommend it, it’s been a life saver.
