Bursitis is the swelling or inflammation of the bursa, which is a type of fluid that acts as a cushion between joints, tendons, muscles and bones. Risk factors of Bursitis include poor posture, frequent jogging, and manual labour. Bursitis may be caused due to pre-existing injuries and infections. People suffer from Bursitis feel pain and inflammation.
Symptoms and Causes
Various health conditions can cause Bursitis, which may include ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout and scleroderma. High risk activities and repetitive movements of hips, thighs, shoulders, elbows, knees and ankles cause injury or lead to bursitis. Bursitis is most often caused by a minor impact on the area from a more serious injury. Cancer, AIDS, and diabetes patients are more susceptible to bursitis infection. Elbow, hip, shoulder, Achilles tendon and knee are most affected by bursitis.

- Loss of movement and swelling in different body parts
- Tenderness in the area without any movement
- Fever without any reason
- Inability to move the affected part
- Swelling, redness, warmth

As an antioxidant, Vitamin E helps in inhibiting the activity of free radical molecules, which reduces the ability of these molecules to damage bursa membranes. It also helps in the production of healthy cells, which aid in the healing of bursa.
