Can Omega-3 reduce anti-social behaviour amongst children?

omegapureA two-year study looking into the effects of Omega-3 has found a significant reduction in anti-social behaviour amongst children taking a daily supplement.

The study, published in the Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry (1), saw 100 children aged between 8-16 given Omega-3 supplementation, and another 100 given a placebo.

At the end of the study, it was discovered that children taking the daily supplement saw a 41.6% reduction in parent-related externalised anti-social behaviour. Furthermore, internalised child behaviours – such as depression – also reduced by 68.4%.
